Documentation: Document all activities as required.
Emergency Procedures: Adhere to company guidelines for emergency evacuation to ensure employee safety.
Additional Responsibilities: Perform any additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by management.
Limits of Authority
Risk Reporting: Advise the Department Manager of situations that may pose significant risks.
Nonconformance Prevention: Initiate actions to prevent nonconformance relating to products, processes, and systems.
Problem Identification: Identify and record problems relating to products, processes, or systems.
Solution Implementation: Recommend solutions through appropriate channels and verify their implementation.
Processing Control: Control further processing and delivery of nonconforming products until deficiencies are corrected.
Project RFQ Initiation: Initiate project RFQs with supporting documentation for approval.
Vendor Negotiation: Quote and negotiate pricing and timing with vendors for equipment and tooling.
Layout Approval: Sign off on “Approved” facility layouts if required.
Basic Education, Experience, and Skills Required
PLC Programming: Proven experience in PLC logic and programming with various PLCs including Allen Bradley, Modicon, GE Fanuc, Siemens, AutomationDirect, Mitsubishi, Omron, Aromat, Toshiba.
HMI/SCADA Programming: Experience with software packages like Wonderware, Rockwell, Intellution, GE Cimplicity, Ci-Tech, Iconics, Siemens, US Data.
Education and Experience: Minimum of 2-year college education and 1 year of related experience in controls and assembly operations, or an equivalent combination.
Mechanical/Electrical Skills: Good mechanical and electrical skills.
Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership abilities, organizational skills, and communication skills.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills.
Computer Proficiency: Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Panel Design and Blueprint Reading: Experience with panel design, layout, wiring schematics, and blueprint reading.
Conveyor Systems and Barcode Readers: Experience with conveyor systems and barcode readers.
Field Commissioning: Field commissioning experience.
Industrial Controls: Experience with industrial controls like photoelectrics, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, Control Net, and Device Net I/O systems.
Software Proficiency: Knowledge of RS View and Auto-CAD.
Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidential information.
Internal Training (Minimum Requirements)
Orientation and Safety Training: Including hazardous communication.
Departmental Training: Process engineering changes, program and process development, change control database, ARC Flash.
Work Environment: Normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility in an office and plant environment, capable of conducting normal work on a computer.
