Sr Manager, Cybersecurity Defense (Security Engineering) – Chicago (North – Hybrid, 3x week)

Overview
Our client has their global headquarters in the Chicago area and is a global consumer packaged goods organization that produces household staples that have been trusted for generations.
  
We are closely engaged with team to identify a Senior Manager of Cyber Defense for their team in the northern suburbs of Chicago. They are seeking an experienced leader with a strong background with engineering and setting the architecture strategy for a world-class cyber defense program.  This person will own the design and build aspects of the cyber defense program while collaborating with a peer on the delivery and operational aspects.    This will require a hybrid in the office work schedule (T, W, Th).
  
Their Spec:
The Cyber Defense Senior Manager with report directly to the Director of Information Security and provide the vision and strategic direction for building numerous cyber programs to include Continuous Monitoring (SOC), Vulnerability Management, Threat Intelligence and Incident Response. The role will have full accountability for management of the related architecture, processes, technologies and service providers’ relationships while partnering with business units and other functional stakeholders. The Cyber Defense service will be developed with adherence to internal policies, relevant industry frameworks, regulatory, compliance and operational performance requirements.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar areas of study, or a directly related field with 10+ years’ work experience of leading Cyber Defense Management. ClSSP, CISA or Cloud security certification as plus.
• Exceptional ability to assess and communicate information security concepts and practices, with both business and IT stakeholders.
• Prior experience of supporting hybrid multi-cloud environments, including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and on-premises solutions.
• Proven experience in design, implementation and operations of a cyber-defense program with heavy leverage of managed security service provider(s).
• Working knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, ISO 2700x and COBIT frameworks/standards in relation to a cyber-defense program.
• Ability to travel 5%.
