GEOTECHNICAL DRILLER

Looking for a Geotech Driller who knows their way around a site investigation and takes pride in quality work. This is a permanent, residential role based out of Sydney.
Geotechnical drilling is technical, skilled work. You're collecting data that engineers, geologists, project managers rely on to make critical decisions. The right contractor will recognise that. We'll make sure you find them.

What this role can lead to

• Long-term placement with an established Sydney geotech contractor
• Exposure to varied project types including infrastructure, civil, environmental
• Senior driller or supervisory progression for the right candidate

What you'll be doing

• Operating drill rigs for geotechnical site investigations across Greater Sydney
• SPT, thin-wall sampling, rock coring, standpipe installation
• Managing rig set-up, pack-down, daily maintenance
• Collecting, labelling, logging soil and rock samples to specification
• Completing field logs, pre-starts, site safety documentation
• Coordinating with site engineers, geologists on sampling requirements
• Supervising offsiders where applicable

What you'll need

• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Minimum 2 years' experience in geotechnical drilling
• Manual MR Class Licence
• Solid understanding of sampling techniques, field documentation
• Safety-first approach, ability to work autonomously on site
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical + Drug & Alcohol test

Highly regarded

• Certificate II or III in Drilling Operations
• Experience with auger, mud rotary, sonic drilling
