As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to lead our finance function and become a trusted advisor to our Directors.
This is far more than a traditional finance role. You'll work closely with Sales, Operations and Accounts to improve commercial performance, resolve financial issues and provide the executive insights that guide strategic business decisions.

About the RoleReporting directly to the Directors, you'll take ownership of the company's financial management while partnering closely with the Sales, Operations and Accounts teams.
You'll ensure the business has accurate financial information, strong cash flow management and clear commercial visibility across every part of the organisation.
This role combines financial leadership, commercial decision-making and continuous business improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the finance function across the business.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and Board reports.
- Develop executive dashboards and financial KPI reporting.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting and annual financial planning.
- Forecast revenue, profitability and cash flow.
- Partner with Sales to improve pricing, margins and commercial outcomes.
- Work with Operations to improve profitability and business performance.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Improve debtor management and working capital.
- Analyse profitability by customer, contract and business unit.
- Support business planning, acquisitions and strategic initiatives.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors and banking partners.
- Identify financial risks and implement improvement initiatives.
- Continue developing systems, reporting and financial processes.
About YouYou are commercially minded and enjoy partnering with business leaders to drive better decisions.
You are confident challenging the status quo, identifying opportunities and helping businesses grow through sound financial leadership.
Ideally you will have:
- CA or CPA qualification (preferred).
- 8+ years in senior finance or commercial finance roles.
- Experience leading finance within a growing organisation.
- Strong management reporting and financial modelling capability.
- Excellent cash flow management experience.
- Budgeting and forecasting expertise.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience using Xero or similar accounting systems.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to present financial information to senior executives.
Highly Desirable
- Experience within ICT, technology, recruitment, labour hire or professional services.
- Experience managing project profitability.
- Understanding of Federal Government contracting.
- Experience supporting acquisitions or high-growth businesses.
- Canberra-based, with a preference for working from the office. Flexible working arrangements can be negotiated for the right candidate.
