We are working with a well-regarded mid-tier law firm seeking a talented Associate or Senior Associate (3–6 years’ PQE) to join a high-performing Banking & Finance practice. This is an opportunity to work closely with a leading Partner who is recognised for his deep expertise across property and construction finance, corporate lending, and asset finance.

The Role
You will advise a broad range of clients including major Australian banks, regional and international lenders, investment banks, private credit providers, funds, and corporate/SME borrowers. The work is diverse, commercially focused, and often complex.
Key areas of practice include:

• Bilateral and syndicated lending transactions
• Property development and construction finance
• Acquisition and leveraged finance
• Business and cash flow lending
• Asset and equipment finance
• Advising both lenders and borrowers across the full lifecycle of transactions

You will also gain exposure to sector-focused work spanning property, construction, hospitality, health and aged care, and professional services.

About You

• 3–6 years’ PQE in banking & finance (or closely related practice)
• Experience acting for lenders and/or borrowers on financing transactions
• Strong drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Commercial mindset with an interest in understanding the financial drivers of transactions
• Ability to build relationships with clients and work collaboratively within a team
