- Discrimination and equal opportunity

The team supports clients across various sectors, such as banking, aviation, retail, manufacturing, transport, and the public sector.
The Role The Sydney-based Employment, Industrial Relations & Safety (EIRS) team is seeking a talented Senior Associate to join a high-performing, supportive, and collaborative team. The successful candidate will work closely with senior Partners and the broader national team, advising blue-chip clients across multiple sectors on employment law, industrial relations, and safety matters.
Key Responsibilities - Provide strategic employment law advice, including workforce strategy, enterprise bargaining, industrial disputes, industrial action, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Represent clients in Fair Work Commission and Court proceedings and advise on employment aspects of large-scale M&A and projects transactions.
- Manage matters, supervise and mentor junior team members, and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Work collaboratively in a supportive team environment while further developing a market-leading practice.
You will also have the opportunity to lead and mentor junior lawyers, contribute to the team’s growth, and develop your own client relationships.
The ideal candidate will have: - Proven experience as a Senior Associate providing employment law and industrial relations advice in a top-tier, mid-tier or employment specialist law firm or in-house environment.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in workforce strategy, enterprise bargaining, industrial disputes, regulatory compliance, and Fair Work Commission or Court proceedings (advocacy experience desirable but not essential).
- Proactive and commercially minded, with the ability to contribute to business development and maintain a market-leading practice.
