We are on the lookout for a Data Analyst with experience in data migration and Sonata to join our client in the superannuation industry.

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with strong superannuation, data migration and Sonata platform experience to support a large administration platform modernisation initiative. This role supports a data migration program, working alongside specialist resources to deliver high-quality migration outcomes. You will play a key role across data extraction, transformation, reconciliation and migration readiness, working closely with business, technology and vendor teams to ensure high-quality member and financial data outcomes.
Engagement Details:
6 months contract
Melbourne or Sydney (flexible working available)
Full-time — 5 days/week
Key responsibilities:
Design and implement ETL processes within the Sonata migration workstream (SQL, Wherescape).
Perform data reconciliation and validation across member and financial datasets.
Analyse and resolve data anomalies, breaks, and migration defects
Develop and maintain SQL scripts for transformation, remediation, and reporting.
Support data mapping, migration cycles, and cutover readiness activities.
Collaborate with business SMEs and vendors to ensure end-to-end data integrity.
Required Experience:
Strong experience in superannuation data migration / registry transformation.
Proven experience working with the Sonata platform.
Advanced SQL scripting and data analysis capability.
Experience in data reconciliation and migration validation frameworks.
Exposure to ETL tools (e.g. Wherescape or similar).
Desirable:
Experience across member, investment and unit pricing data.
Previous experience in large-scale SFT or platform migration programs.
Understanding of superannuation data structures and regulatory reporting.
