Help deliver best-in-class partnerships for the New Zealand Team
 
BACKGROUND:
The New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) is seeking a talented and highly organised Commercial Partnerships Executive to join its Commercial & Marketing Team.
 
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of one of New Zealand sport's most iconic organisations, working closely with athletes, commercial partners, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver best-in-class partnership experiences, activations and commercial opportunities.
 
With the LA28 Olympic Games less than two years away, and our closest Olympic Games since Sydney on the horizon with Brisbane 2032, there is an incredibly exciting period ahead for the New Zealand Team and the strong portfolio of brands that back it. Based at Olympic House in Parnell, Auckland, this is a brilliant time to join the NZOC Commercial & Marketing Team.
 
ROLE SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Partnerships, you will play a key role in the management and delivery of NZOC's commercial partnerships. You'll take ownership of a portfolio of Official Partners, building strong relationships and helping them maximise the value of their partnership rights and activations.
 
Working across the wider Commercial & Marketing Team, you'll collaborate closely with New Zealand athletes through the NZOC Athletes' Collective, supporting partner activations, communications, CRM management and partnership administration, ticketing and travel programmes. You will also support the delivery of regular partner functions, selection announcements and Games-time hosting programmes.
 
ABOUT YOU:

• Background working within an agency, brand, sports, or commercial environment.
• Experience in account management, sponsorship, marketing and/or brand activation.
• Outstanding relationship management skills with the ability to relate to varying levels.
• Ability to create mutually beneficial partnerships through innovative activations.
• Outstanding organisation, event management, planning and communication skills, with an exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience developing presentations, reports, newsletters and marketing content.
• Ability to think outside the box to create innovative solutions.
• Prior experience working in sport is not required, however a passion for sport is important.
• Excellent organisation skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
• Relevant tertiary qualification, or a minimum of five years' equivalent work experience.
