As part of the team delivering the Men's Rugby World Cup 2027 Experiences programme in Australia, we are seeking an experienced Head of Event Delivery to lead the Event Delivery function.
 
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Head of Event Delivery will lead the Event Delivery function for the Men's Rugby World Cup 2027 Experiences Programme in Australia. You will provide strategic and operational leadership across venue operations, hospitality, food and beverage, event overlay, fit-out and fan experience, while leading a high-performing team and building strong relationships with key stakeholders and delivery partners. This is an outstanding opportunity to play a senior leadership role in the delivery of one of the world's biggest sporting events.
 
Key responsibilities include:

• Build strong relationships with rightsholders, venues, sponsors, suppliers and key partners.
• Lead and develop a high-performing, multi-disciplinary Event Delivery team.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery across venue operations, hospitality, F&B, overlay, fit-out and fan experience.
• Drive commercial and operational excellence across budgets, procurement, governance, risk and customer experience.

 
ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for an accomplished event delivery leader with the experience, commercial acumen and leadership capability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced major event environment.
 
Ideally, you will bring: 

• Significant leadership experience across major sporting events, hospitality, travel or complex large-scale projects.
• Proven experience delivering major event, hospitality and fan experience programmes.
• Strong commercial acumen across budgets, procurement, suppliers and contract negotiation.
• A credible and empowering leadership style with a track record of building high-performing teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to deliver outstanding operational and customer outcomes.
