ROLE SUMMARY:
As Senior Operations Manager (Venues & Events), you will play a critical leadership role in delivering world-class, premium travel and hospitality experiences for Men's Rugby World Cup (RWC) 2027 Experiences in Australia. With responsibility for planning and hands-on operational delivery across a complex, multi-stadium event environment, this role ensures seamless execution, exceptional service standards, and unforgettable fan experiences. Working closely with the Head of Event Delivery, the role connects strategy to on-the-ground delivery, ensuring operational excellence across all venues and events.
This position oversees supplier and venue coordination, stakeholder alignment, and onsite leadership, while supporting budget management, compliance, and risk mitigation to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality events. You will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement through innovation, sustainability initiatives, and service optimisation, while developing team capability through training and leadership. Through strong operational oversight and collaboration, the role ensures Rugby World Cup Experiences 2027 are delivered consistently, compliantly, and to the highest international standards.
