ABOUT AUCKLAND RUGBY:
Auckland Rugby is New Zealand’s largest provincial union with over 21,000 registered players and facilitates over 10,000 games of rugby per year. Auckland is the most successful union in New Zealand rugby history, having won the National Provincial Championship 17 times for men and 15 times for women. Auckland Rugby Union has 17 senior clubs, five junior only clubs with approximately 12,500 participants.

ROLE SUMMARY: We're on the hunt for a savvy go-getter to uncover and secure commercial partnerships that bring in fresh revenue for Auckland Rugby. You will build connections with small to medium-sized businesses—spotting opportunities, crafting exciting offers, and turning great ideas into real deals.
From the creation of a lead to securing the partnership, you will own the journey. Best of all? The revenue you generate will fuel Auckland Rugby’s grassroots and high-performance programs - so your hustle and mahi will have a direct impact on the game, from the local parks to the big stage.
ABOUT YOU: - Experience working within an agency, brand, marketing, or commercial environment.
- B2B sales experience and a track record of prospecting & securing new business.
- Outstanding relationship management and influencing skills.
- Experience working with commercial agreements and negotiations.
- Ability to relate to varying levels from a corporate CEO to local small business owners.
- Ability to create mutually beneficial partnerships through innovative ideas & activations.
- Prior experience working in sport is not required, however a passion for sport is important.
