ABOUT AUCKLAND RUGBY:
Auckland Rugby is New Zealand’s largest provincial union with over 21,000 registered players and facilitates over 10,000 games of rugby per year. Auckland is the most successful union in New Zealand rugby history, having won the National Provincial Championship 17 times for men and 15 times for women. Auckland Rugby Union has 17 senior clubs, five junior only clubs with approximately 12,500 participants. 
 
ROLE SUMMARY:
As Partnerships & Membership Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of Auckland Rugby’s existing commercial partners. As the primary point of contact for these partners, you will drive the implementation of strategic relationship plans for sponsors to ensure continued value and growth. You will be required to proactively report back to commercial partners on key performance objectives to ensure they are feeling valued and seeing results.
 
In addition to partnership management, you will oversee and manage Auckland Rugby’s membership and ticketing programme to ensure the smooth delivery of tickets to members, public and stakeholders. You will liaise with the NPC Ticketing partner to deliver all operational aspects of the NPC season as well as being the key contact with New Zealand Rugby to ensure all Auckland Rugby’s membership seating requirements are delivered at test matches.
 
ABOUT YOU:

• Proven account management, memberships and / or ticketing experience as well as strong relationship management and influencing skills.
• Experience working within an agency, marketing, events or commercial environment.
• Track record for increasing revenue spend with existing customers.
• Experience working with commercial agreements and negotiations.Ability to relate to varying levels from a corporate CEO to local small business owners.
• Analytical, commercial and detail orientated with experience managing budgets.
• Ability to create mutually beneficial partnerships through innovative ideas & activations.
• Well organised with strong planning and communication skills.
• Prior experience working in sport is not required, however a passion for sport is important.
