About the Opportunity
I’m partnering with a values-led organisation where safety isn’t just compliance - it’s part of how they operate, every single day. With multiple sites and a highly operational workforce, this role sits right at the heart of keeping people safe, supported, and set up to do their best work.
You’ll be stepping into a role where you’re trusted to take ownership, build relationships on the ground, and bring structure to safety practices across the business.
About the Role
This is a hands-on OHS Coordinator role with a strong operational focus.
You’ll be working closely with site leaders, managers, and the People & Culture team to ensure safety systems are not only in place - but actually lived.
Day to day, this looks like:
- Conducting safety audits and site checks across multiple locations
- Supporting incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions
- Ensuring documentation (JSA, SWMS, risk assessments) is accurate and up to date
- Partnering with leaders to guide safe work practices and compliance
- Supporting the rollout and tracking of the OHS workplan
- Delivering training and inductions around safety processes
It’s a role where you’ll be out and about, building relationships, influencing behaviours, and helping create a genuinely safe environment.
About You You’re someone who enjoys being close to the action.
You’re not afraid to have conversations, ask questions, and gently challenge when needed - all with the goal of keeping people safe.
You’ll likely bring: - Experience in an OHS or HR environment (ideally within operational or multi-site settings)
- Confidence navigating safety processes, audits, and compliance requirements
- A practical, common-sense approach to risk and problem solving
- Strong relationship-building skills - you meet people where they are
- The ability to balance structure with flexibility in a fast-moving environment
Most importantly - you care. About people, about doing things properly, and about making a real impact.
About the Company Our client operates across multiple sites in a unique and highly operational environment, supporting both local communities and a broader network of stakeholders.
They’re values-led, people-first, and genuinely committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive workplace. There’s a strong sense of collaboration across the business, and the People & Culture team plays a key role in shaping that experience.
It’s the kind of environment where you’re not just another number - you’re part of something bigger.
