We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our client’s team at Kanyirri on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster, commencing 20 September 2026.
This is a temporary/casual opportunity suited to a confident and proactive safety professional with previous experience working in site-based, mining, civil, construction or resources environments.
You’ll work closely with site leadership and the wider workforce to promote a strong safety culture, provide practical HSE support and ensure site activities are carried out in line with relevant procedures and requirements.

The Role As the HSE Advisor, you will provide hands-on health, safety and environmental support across site operations.
This is a visible, site-focused role where you’ll spend time engaging with workers and supervisors, identifying risks and helping ensure safe work practices are consistently maintained.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing day-to-day HSE advice and support to site personnel
- Conducting workplace inspections, audits and safety observations
- Supporting hazard identification and risk assessment activities
- Reviewing and assisting with JHAs, SWMS and other safety documentation
- Participating in and facilitating pre-starts, toolbox talks and safety meetings
- Monitoring compliance with site HSE procedures and requirements
- Supporting incident and near-miss investigations
- Assisting with corrective actions and ensuring actions are appropriately followed up
- Maintaining accurate HSE records, registers and documentation
- Supporting site inductions and onboarding requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve safety performance
- Working closely with Supervisors and Managers to address HSE matters
- Promoting positive safety behaviours and a strong safety culture across the workforce
What We’re Looking For To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience as an HSE Advisor, Safety Advisor or similar
- Relevant WHS/OHS qualifications
- Previous site-based experience within mining, civil construction, resources or heavy industry
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety principles and risk management
- Experience conducting inspections, audits and risk assessments
- Experience supporting incident investigations and corrective actions
- Confidence working with site safety documentation and systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to confidently engage with workers, Supervisors and Managers
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced site environment
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards
- Full Australian working rights
- Ability to meet relevant site mobilisation and pre-employment requirements
About You You’re a practical and approachable HSE professional who understands that good safety management is about more than paperwork.
You’re comfortable being out in the field, engaging with crews and working alongside site leadership to identify risks and find practical solutions. You can confidently manage HSE documentation while maintaining a strong presence across day-to-day operations.
Previous experience working a FIFO/site-based roster will be highly regarded.
