About Trees That Count
With a history spanning more than 35 years, Trees That Count is an environmental not-for-profit, dedicated to supporting native forest regeneration throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. With the largest network of restoration projects in the motu, Trees That Count connects funding for native trees with on-the-ground efforts led by iwi, hapū, community groups and farmers.
To date, together with individuals, whānau, and businesses, we’ve funded over 3.3 million native trees. This has enabled more than 830 restoration projects to take meaningful steps toward their aspirations for Aotearoa New Zealand’s climate, biodiversity and communities – from improving waterway health and growing habitat for taonga species to strengthening community resilience.
