Finance Leader – Global Retail | Full-Time, Permanent | Hybrid (3 Days Onsite – Markham/GTA)

Our client, a global, multi-location retail organization, is seeking a hands-on Finance Leader to elevate their finance function during a period of growth and transformation.

This full-time, permanent opportunity offers a hybrid schedule—three days onsite in Markham and flexibility for remote work. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping internal processes, supporting core operations, and partnering with executive leadership to drive strategic decision-making.

Compensation:
Base salary: $120 - 135k

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and mentor a finance team of five, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and collaboration.
• Build, refine, and optimize finance processes to support a fast-paced, startup-style environment.
• Oversee all aspects of financial operations: budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, cash management, and internal controls.
• Develop and implement best practices to drive efficiency and scalability as the organization grows.
• Provide clear, actionable insights to the CEO and senior leadership, supporting sound business and financial decisions.
• Partner across departments to align financial strategies with operational needs and business objectives.
• Support capital raising, investor relations, and finance generation initiatives.
• Advise on global finance matters, with exposure to multi-location operations (experience in Asian markets and global retail preferred, but not required).
• Champion continuous improvement, leveraging data and technology to enhance financial performance and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of financial integrity.

Who You Are:

• Proven finance leader with hands-on experience and a track record of managing and developing teams.
• Skilled in financial operations, process improvement, and cross-functional business partnering.
• Experience in retail or high-growth environments is preferred, but not essential.
• Familiar with global, multi-location operations; knowledge of Asian markets is a plus.
• Strong communicator, strategic thinker, and collaborative team player.
• Located in the GTA, with ability to work onsite in Markham three days a week.
