At Geovert, we deliver specialist geotechnical, ground engineering and difficult access solutions across Australia, New Zealand and North America. We're looking for an experienced HSEQ & Cultural Heritage Advisor to join our team in a permanent capacity.

This is more than a project role. We're looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career with Geovert, supporting a variety of challenging projects across our business. While there will be an immediate opportunity to support works in Far North Queensland, we envisage this role evolving across multiple projects and locations.

For the right person, we're flexible. Whether you're Sydney-based and open to regular travel, or interested in FIFO opportunities into Far North Queensland, we're keen to make the role work.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide practical, field-based HSEQ support to project teams.
• Coach supervisors and crews to maintain a strong safety culture.
• Conduct inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Support environmental compliance and cultural heritage obligations.
• Coordinate with operational teams, environmental specialists and Traditional Owner representatives.
• Assist with incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure project activities comply with client, legislative and company requirements.

About You You'll be someone who enjoys working alongside operational teams and thrives in challenging field environments.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Experience in an HSEQ Advisor role within construction, civil, infrastructure, rail, mining or geotechnical projects.
• Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and environmental management.
• Experience working in high-risk operational environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Relevant HSEQ qualifications (Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS or equivalent).

Highly Regarded

• Rope access, geotechnical, stabilisation or difficult-access project exposure.
• Experience working within environmentally sensitive areas.
• Queensland Rail or live rail corridor experience.
• Cultural Heritage management experience (desirable).
