About the role
The Estimator at Geovert is responsible for reviewing project enquiries, identifying risks, and preparing estimates and proposals to secure profitable work. They also plan and oversee project delivery to meet technical, safety, quality, and environmental standards while achieving commercial and productivity goals.
This role includes authority to direct on-site activities and may be based in the office or on-site, depending on project needs. The position requires the ability to manage multiple or complex projects simultaneously.
Collaborating with the leadership team, you will be a hands-on Estimator and Project Engineer, working as part of a team delivering geotechnical natural hazard mitigation projects across the infrastructure and mining sectors. These include slope stabilisation and ground engineering projects of varying complexity. Building on a strong portfolio of long-term clients, your goal is to contribute to a culture of innovation, best-practice, and gold-standard customer focus.
About you
You will be a proven Estimator from the ground engineering industry, who will bring your technical knowledge, an eye for detail and a continuous improvement mindset. We offer a flexible and autonomous environment where your ideas are valued.
- Degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, construction management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in civil engineering or construction, with specific exposure to ground engineering techniques (e.g., soil nailing, ground anchors, grouting).
- Site Engineers with relevant hands-on experience and mentorship may also be considered for the role.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills are essential.
- Must understand engineering methodologies, safety procedures, and best practices.
