You will be employed by Central Coast Group Training (CCGT) and placed with the Host Employer for your day-to-day work. CCGT will support you throughout your traineeship while you complete a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety through a reputable Registered Training Organisation.
This is a full-time, 2-year traineeship, generally working 7:00am to 3:06pm, Monday to Friday.

- Maintain safety records, registers and systems
- Support staff and management with WHS-related activities
- Assist with reporting, follow-up actions and safety coordination
- Support workplace safety initiatives and improvement activities
- Learn internal WHS policies, procedures and compliance requirements
- Participate in workplace meetings and safety-related activities
- Complete study tasks as part of your Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
You will not be expected to know everything on day one. The goal is to listen, ask questions and keep building your confidence.
Why This Is a Good Place to Start You’ll be learning in a professional workplace with:
- Practical WHS experience within a global organisation
- Exposure to staff and management across different areas of the business
- A supportive team environment
- Real experience in safety, compliance and business operations
- On-the-job training and formal study
- Regular CCGT check-ins throughout your traineeship
- Long-term career development potential, including future management pathways
You’ll also receive paid full-time employment, nationally recognised training and support from CCGT throughout your traineeship.
After your traineeship, career pathways may include Work Health and Safety Officer, Safety Administrator, WHS Coordinator, Compliance Officer, Safety Advisor or WHS Manager.
