Keep Building Your Carpentry Career
2nd or 3rd Year Carpentry Apprentice | Central Coast NSW | Full-time
The Opportunity Already started your carpentry apprenticeship and ready for more variety?
CCGT is looking for a 2nd or 3rd Year Carpentry Apprentice to join a locally based carpentry business working across the Central Coast.
You’ll be working with a small, experienced team across a mix of projects, including carpentry, pub fit-outs, shop fit-outs, renovations and new builds. No two days will look exactly the same.
You will be employed by Central Coast Group Training (CCGT) and placed with the Host Employer for your day-to-day work. CCGT will support you throughout the rest of your apprenticeship while you continue your nationally recognised Certificate III in Carpentry.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing You already have some carpentry skills behind you. This role is about building on them and gaining experience across different types of projects.
You’ll continue learning how to:
- Assist with general carpentry tasks
- Work on renovations, fit-outs and new builds
- Support pub and shop fit-out projects
- Measure, cut, assemble and install materials
- Use hand tools, power tools and equipment safely
- Read and follow plans, instructions and site requirements
- Prepare and maintain clean, safe worksites
- Load, unload and move materials
- Work alongside qualified tradespeople and other trades
As your skills grow, you’ll continue taking on more responsibility and building confidence across varied carpentry work. This is a full-time role, generally working 6:30am to 3:36pm, Monday to Friday.
Why This Is a Good Place to Start You’ll be learning with a small carpentry team that offers:
- Variety across renovations, new builds, pub fit-outs and shop fit-outs
- A relaxed but professional team culture
- Experienced tradespeople who can help you keep developing
- Hands-on work across real Central Coast projects
- A team that takes pride in quality work
- Supportive supervision and regular CCGT check-ins
- A workplace where everyone gets stuck in and works together
You’ll also receive paid full-time employment, on-the-job training and ongoing support from CCGT throughout your apprenticeship.
After your apprenticeship, career pathways may include Qualified Carpenter, Leading Hand, Site Supervisor, Shopfitter, Fit-Out Carpenter or Licensed Builder.

- Turn up on time and are ready to learn
