1st or 2nd Year Civil Construction Apprentice

About the Opportunity
CCGT is seeking motivated 1st or 2nd Year Civil Construction Apprentices to join BRP, a well-respected civil construction and directional drilling business working across the Central Coast and surrounding regions.
This is a full-time apprenticeship where you will be employed and supported by Central Coast Group Training (CCGT) while completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Civil Construction through on-the-job training.
You will meet at Somersby and work as part of a hands-on crew delivering civil construction projects safely, efficiently and professionally. This role is suited to someone who enjoys outdoor work, being part of a team and learning practical skills in a growing industry.
The apprenticeship term is 36 months.
What You'll Be Doing
You will be supported throughout your apprenticeship while learning a range of civil construction skills on the job.
Your duties may include:
- Operating and maintaining plant and machinery
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Assisting with site preparation, trenching and material handling
- Loading and unloading tools, equipment and supplies
- Moving asphalt, soil and construction materials
- Maintaining clean, safe and organised worksites
- Working collaboratively with site supervisors and crew members
- Following WHS and environmental procedures
- Troubleshooting onsite issues and supporting project delivery
- Contributing to a positive and safety-focused team culture
This is a hands-on role that involves practical outdoor work and working in a fast-paced team environment.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is reliable, safety-focused and ready to build their skills in civil construction.
To be considered, you will need:
- Current White Card
- Current driver’s licence
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability, motivation and willingness to learn
- Positive attitude and pride in quality work
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a crew
- Some civil construction experience, or a genuine interest in starting a career in the industry
