As a self-employed contractor you’ll provide part-time outsourced recruitment services, and work end to end on a project. You’ll get $50 per hour and be able to fit the work around other commitments.
You’ll receive a client brief, copy of the ad, access to an online candidate tracking system and hiring templates. Assess applicants’ motivations for the role alongside values and cultural fit, then provide a shortlist. Promote small, values-based businesses that are excellent employers; hand on heart you can say they’re great places to work.
To really enjoy and thrive in this role you’ll have the following attributes:
- Be an experienced recruiter or HR person with extensive recruitment experience
- Have the speed of an agency recruiter with the best practice knowledge of an in-house recruiter
- Be tech savvy able to utilise online recruitment systems
- Be an experienced behavioural interviewer who is familiar with competencies
- Ideally understand how to recruit for motivation/job congruency, values and cultural fit, or a willingness to learn
- Have a reliable computer, phone and internet connection and space to work where candidate records are safe
- Have a friendly, open manner that well represents our clients
- Think strategically about the advertising approach, considering the message, placement and recommend changes based on number and calibre of applications
- Ideally have experience in proactive search, you can utilise social media, LinkedIn, Google and other tech tools to uncover people of interest
- Take ownership of a vacancy and communicate about your activity and the job’s status while balancing your other commitments
