About the Role
  
Our client is seeking a People & Culture Manager (NSW) to provide strategic and hands-on HR leadership within their NSW transport operations.

This role will oversee employee relations, industrial relations, recruitment, performance management, and compliance across their state-wide operations.
  
You will work closely with senior leaders, ensuring best practice HR strategies that support retention and foster a positive workplace culture.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead EBA negotiations and ensure compliance with industrial instruments, legislation, and best industry practices.
• Provide expert guidance on employee relations, case management, and industrial relations, including dispute resolution and Fair Work matters.
• Engage and manage relationships with unions and multiple stakeholders, ensuring smooth negotiations and workforce stability.
• Support leadership in performance management, conflict resolution, and people development to enhance team capability.
• Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring alignment with business needs and workforce planning.
• Drive workplace culture initiatives, engagement surveys, and employee retention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with policies, employment laws, and HR governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with national People & Culture teams to support business-wide initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Extensive experience in industrial relations, particularly within a transport & logistics, manufacturing, or heavy industry setting.
• Proven expertise in EBA negotiations and stakeholder management within a unionized workforce.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
• A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
• A deep understanding of Australian employment laws, workplace relations frameworks, and HR best practices.
• A hands-on approach to problem-solving, employee engagement, and cultural transformation.
