On behalf of a national complex infrastructure project delivery client, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical/HVAC) for an iconic project.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Report to the contractor commissioning manager and collaborate with the OEM Commissioning Specialist.
• Oversee mechanical supervision and tradesmen.
• Coordinate with stakeholders throughout the construction and commissioning phases.
• Ensure mechanical pre-commissioning checks are completed before system commissioning.
• Manage mechanical commissioning activities, focusing on rotating equipment and defect rectification, under OEM guidance.
• Oversee mechanical commissioning activities and defect rectification with BoP contractors.
• Support commissioning and balancing of tunnel ventilation & fire life safety systems.
• Review OEM and BoP commissioning documentation and assist with work pack preparation using CCMS.
• Provide on-the-job training for Operations and Maintenance staff on mechanical equipment.
• Adhere to ‘Permit to Work’ and isolation procedures.
• Comply with occupational health, safety, environmental, and quality assurance standards.
• Assist in preparing risk assessments.

 
What We’re Looking For:

• Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering.
• Extensive experience in mechanical installation, testing, and/or commissioning.
• Experience with major infrastructure or FIFO projects preferred.
• Strong communication skills for regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
