As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include…
- Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, managing all accounting matters
- Prepare year-end financial statements, handle tax queries and ensure compliance
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure regulatory compliance
- Provide strategic financial advice on tax planning, budgeting, and cash flow
- VAT prepare and submit VAT returns, corporation tax, and personal tax filings
- Mentor junior staff, offering guidance, reviewing work, and supporting their development
We are looking for a Senior Accountant with the following skills and experience… - A minimum Level 4 AAT qualification or ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
- Experience working in an accountancy practice role is massively desirable
- Confidence managing your own client portfolio and building strong client relationships
- Good working knowledge of UK accounts, tax and compliance requirements
- Familiar with accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks, along with strong Excel skills
- Driven, ambitious, team player and hungry to learn, develop your career and bring new ideas
In return, the successful Senior Accountant will receive a salary of £35,000 - £45,000, plus the following benefits… - Hybrid working, one day in the office per week in Bury
