Wave International is a resource development firm with 20 years of global experience in engineering, project delivery, project and asset management and provides project strategies and solutions across critical metals, battery minerals, mineral sands, bulk commodities, gold, base metals and more.

We are currently seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join its Perth Engineering group to meet the increased demand for critical metals and mineral sands projects.

As a key part of the process team, some of the tasks and responsibilities you will undertake are listed below and will include (but not limited to):
 
Position Overview:

• Lead, support and deliver best practice process plant designs and associated services, as per study/project requirements and aligned with Wave standards and client requirements
• Assist in development of the team, through process design development, industry networking, evaluation of new technologies and design reviews
• Ensure process designs meet the required safety standards and actively participate in risk analysis, design reviews and operability studies
• Undertake site visits to support study and project work as required

Skills / experience required:

• Tertiary qualified in Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering from a recognised institution
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Operational experience with mineral processing plants and extractive/refining processes, commissioning experience will be an advantage
• Experience in hydrometallurgical processing of minerals concentrates/intermediates and/or battery minerals/elements
• Knowledge/familiarity with HSC-Sim, SysCAD, METSIM, Bruno, AggFlow, JKSimMet and/or other modelling software
