Wave International is a resource development firm with 20 years of global experience in engineering, project delivery, project and asset management and provides project strategies and solutions across critical metals, battery minerals, mineral sands, bulk commodities, gold, base metals and more.

We are currently seeking a Senior or Lead Electrical Engineer to join our growing Perth Engineering group to meet the increased demand for critical metals and battery mineral projects.

Skills, experience and activity not limited to:

• Sound/Solid understanding of HV/LV electrical schematics design in mining/mineral processing environment.
• Ability to independently develop electrical design drawings (SLDs, Schematics and Terminations), from first principles, relevant standards, and best practices.
• Proven experience in mining sector in a design, commissioning, testing and site relevant experiences.
• Leadership skills to manage a design project from conception to delivery.
• High degree of communication skills to provide direction to lesser experienced engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to write technical documentation, reports, and scopes of works.
• Knowledge of power systems to carry out fault studies, earthing design, lightning protection design and load flow modelling.
• Perform electrical calculations including load studies, cable sizing, electrical equipment sizing calcs etc.
• Prepare specification documentation for electrical equipment in a mining environment.
