We are looking for a motivated Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our client's Brisbane office, with opportunities for international site travel during the commissioning phase. This unique role offers the chance to contribute to a high-profile mining project, working alongside a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical and hydraulic systems for a cutting-edge mining project, ensuring innovative and practical solutions.
Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications in line with project requirements and industry standards.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs are implemented effectively and meet rigorous quality standards on site.
Address complex technical challenges with creative problem-solving and clear communication with clients and stakeholders.
Coordinate interdepartmental workflows, ensuring seamless project execution.
Maintain transparent dialogue with clients and internal teams.
Ensure high standards of quality management through the preparation and review of internal documentation.

Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within an EPCM or consultancy environment.
Proficiency in engineering software for design and drawing management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex tasks in a dynamic environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and adaptable approach.
Robust experience in both office-based design and site-based project execution, in mining or resource industry.
A balanced skill set combining technical expertise with client-focused consulting capabilities.
