SNELLING STAFFING IS HIRING FOR A FULL CHARGE BOOKKEEPER FOR OUR SMALL MANUFACTURING CLIENT IN MADISON HEIGHTS
The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is DIRECT HIRE, $28-32/hour with full benefit package. This company is a family-owned, $4-5M company looking for someone who is comfortable in a small office environment and willing to assume additional responsibilities as needed. You will manage all aspects of financial records and ensure accuracy in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting principles. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks and a comprehensive understanding of financial concepts to support the company's financial health.

Full Charge Bookkeeper Duties:

• The company is moving to QuickBooks and this role will include creating new client and vendor files , building a chart of accounts and loading balances.
• Maintain accurate financial records through double entry bookkeeping.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation.
• Manage accounts payable and ensure timely processing of invoices.
• Prepare and file tax documents in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Generate financial statements and reports to provide insights into the organization's financial status.
• Assist in the preparation for audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and practices.

• Thorough knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (strong Excel skills required), and accurate data entry skills
• 5+ years of Bookkeeping experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, or in a company where job costing was used.
• College-level accounting classes, Associates in Accounting preferred.
• Solid grasp of financial concepts and reporting standards.
• Ability to perform general ledger reconciliation accurately.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Small-company mentality- willingness to step in and help when coworkers are off, seeing the big picture of what may need to get done
