FOOD SERVICE SALES REPRESENTATIVE — FRESH & FROZEN SEAFOOD
Hybrid: Miami, FL
$80,000-$120,000 per year+ incentive up to 40% of base salary.
Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401K, PTO, and other benefits
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a hunter role with real teeth. You'll be joining a vertically integrated seafood company with a fully controlled supply chain — from proprietary aquaculture operations in South America through to finished product — across species including salmon, coho, mackerel, mussel, langostino, tuna, trout, and shrimp. The company operates across consumer branded, trade branded, and private label segments, and serves national and regional restaurant chains, full-service and specialty foodservice distributors, and cruise line accounts across the US and Canada.
This is not a warm-leads, account-maintenance role. The mandate is new business development — building a portfolio from scratch, moving fast, and hitting aggressive growth targets. If you've spent your career farming existing accounts, this probably isn't the right fit. If you've built books of business and have a track record of opening doors at corporate buying organizations, keep reading.
THE ROLE
You'll be based in the company's Miami office with a hybrid schedule available. You'll report directly to the US Director of Sales.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Prospecting and closing new foodservice accounts across the US and Canadian markets
- Targeting mid-to-large restaurant chains, national foodservice distributors, and cruise line accounts
- Building a portfolio of 10+ new accounts in year one
- Driving $10M+ in new sales revenue in year one, scaling to $20M+ in year two
- Managing the full sales cycle from cold outreach through negotiation and close
- Maintaining pipeline discipline using CRM tools
- Collaborating internally on pricing, product fit, and account strategy
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with formal sales or business training
- Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in foodservice, food manufacturing, or a related industry — though strong sellers from adjacent fields will be considered
- Demonstrated experience selling into corporate buying organizations (chain accounts, national distributors, or similar)
- A persistent, polished, and analytically grounded approach to selling — you prepare, you follow through, and you close
- Strong negotiation and communication skills; comfortable operating in collaborative, multi-stakeholder environments
- Above-average proficiency with CRM platforms and standard business software
- Seafood or protein category experience is a genuine plus, not a requirement
COMPENSATION $80,000-$120,000 per year+ incentive up to 40% of base salary.
A NOTE ON FIT This company moves quickly and competes in a demanding, margin-sensitive market. The culture rewards people who are self-directed, analytically sharp, and genuinely motivated by the hunt. If you need a lot of infrastructure around you to succeed in sales, this will be a difficult environment. If you thrive with autonomy and a clear performance mandate, it could be a strong match.
