Development and Construction Accountant
 
Location: Miami, Florida - On-site Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt Compensation: $100,000-$120,000 base salary plus a 5% annual bonus Reports to: Controller
ttg Talent Solutions is recruiting a Staff Accountant III for a well-established affordable multifamily housing organization that develops and manages its own residential communities.
This hands-on position combines property management and real estate development accounting. The successful candidate will support month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger reconciliations, construction job costing, lender draws, and cash management across multiple properties and active development projects.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Complete general ledger, bank, trustee, and subsidiary-ledger reconciliations.
• Maintain job-cost reports and reconcile project costs to lender draws.
• Prepare monthly development draw packages and budget-versus-actual reporting.
• Monitor cash positions, vendor payments, and project funding.
• Support audits, cost certifications, and lender and investor reporting.
• Coordinate with property management teams, construction personnel, lenders, and external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
• Five to eight years of relevant accounting experience.
• Property management, real estate development, or construction accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of the complete accounting cycle and financial reporting.
• Construction job-cost and development draw experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and relevant accounting systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and deadline-management skills.
