Our client
Our client is a premier global luxury furniture and design brand with 22 international showrooms, launching an exclusive, boutique showroom in Boston, MA 02116.  Known for high-end craftsmanship and sophisticated contemporary design, they are seeking a polished, high-performing sales professional with a strong design background to drive trade and retail sales, cultivate relationships with top interior designers, and deliver bespoke spatial solutions across the area.
  
Job Overview
As a Sales Representative, you will play a key role in representing the brand’s contemporary and luxury furniture collections while building strong relationships with architects, interior designers, trade professionals, and walk-in customers.
The ideal candidate has a strong interest in interior design, furniture, architecture, or luxury retail. This role requires a combination of sales ability, design understanding, excellent customer service, and strong organizational skills.
You will be responsible for managing the sales process from the initial customer interaction through order completion, including preparing proposals and quotations, supporting furniture layouts and presentations, following up with clients, and coordinating deliveries when necessary.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist walk-in customers in the showroom, providing a high level of personalized customer service.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, and high-end residential clients.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate furniture, finishes, and solutions based on their projects and requirements.
• Develop new business opportunities and actively follow up with potential clients and trade professionals.
• Manage the full sales process, from initial inquiry and quotation through order confirmation and delivery.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, presentation materials, and product information for clients.
• Assist clients with furniture selections, space planning, and basic furniture layouts when required.
• Prepare simple presentation files and support project proposals.
• Follow up consistently on leads, quotations, and ongoing projects to convert opportunities into sales.
• Negotiate and communicate commercial terms while maintaining customer satisfaction and company profitability.
• Maintain accurate customer, project, and sales information using Odoo or other CRM systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams regarding product availability, production timelines, shipping, and delivery requirements.
• Assist with delivery and shipping coordination to ensure a smooth customer experience.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the brand’s collections, materials, finishes, pricing, and customization options.
• Support showroom operations and ensure that the showroom is always presented according to the brand’s visual and customer service standards.
• Work closely with management and the sales team to achieve individual and showroom sales targets.

Requirements

• Previous experience in sales, luxury retail, furniture, interior design, architecture, or account management is preferred.
• A background in interior design, architecture, furniture design, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Strong interest and understanding of contemporary furniture and interior design.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to build long-term relationships with clients, architects, and interior designers.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Experience preparing quotations, presentations, or project proposals is a plus.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and basic furniture layout preparation is preferred.
• Experience with CRM or ERP systems such as Odoo, Salesforce, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
• A proactive, motivated, and results-oriented attitude.
• Previous experience in luxury furniture or high-end retail is a plus but not required.

Compensation & Benefits Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year, based on experience
Compensation Package:

• Base salary
• Commission pay 3% on completed orders
• Commissions will be available to pay approximately after 5 months due to production and delivery time for new production orders. For stock orders commissions pay after delivery.
• The monthly goal requirement will be implemented 12 months after the opening date. This timeline may vary depending on the progress and development of the business.
