A large, mission-driven organization in Miami is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to help lead, structure, and strengthen its contract management function across multiple business lines.
This role supports a complex operating environment that includes government contracts, commercial agreements, vendor relationships, service contracts, partnership agreements, nonprofit support functions, and business units tied to manufacturing, facilities services, logistics, retail, and other programs.
The ideal candidate is practical, detail-oriented, confident with contract language, comfortable working with operations and leadership, and experienced with both public and private sector agreements.
Responsibilities - Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including government contracts, commercial agreements, vendor agreements, service contracts, NDAs, MOUs, amendments, and partnership agreements.
- Support federal, state, and local government contracts, and public procurement requirements.
- Partner with business units, executive leadership, external parties, and legal counsel as needed to structure agreements that support business and operational goals.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, standardized processes, and risk controls.
- Build and manage a centralized, auditable contract management process for documentation, approvals, version control, execution workflows, renewals, and reporting.
- Track key contract dates, option years, renewal periods, deliverables, reporting deadlines, performance standards, and contract obligations.
- Work closely with operational leaders to monitor contract compliance, delivery timelines, quality requirements, labor requirements, and customer commitments.
- Identify contract performance issues early and recommend corrective action when needed.
- Support customer-directed corrective action plans and provide leadership with clear reporting on contract status and risk.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to contractual compliance.
- Serve as a liaison and resource for internal teams on contract obligations, deliverables, reporting requirements, and best practices.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Public Administration, or a related field required.
- 5+ years of contracts management experience required.
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts independently.
- Strong understanding of commercial contracts, vendor agreements, service agreements, NDAs, MOUs, and related contract documents.
- Government contracting experience is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, public procurement, RFP/RFQ processes, or government-funded contract requirements strongly preferred.
- Excellent negotiation, written communication, verbal communication, organization, and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with contract management software is a plus.
- Experience in nonprofit, social enterprise, manufacturing, facilities services, healthcare services, government services, defense contracting, or public-sector services is a plus.
