Head of Finance
Location: Miami, FL
Compensation: Up to $200,000 base plus variable compensation, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time, fully on-site
ttg Talent Solutions is conducting a confidential search for a hands-on Head of Finance to join a complex, multi-entity real estate services platform in Miami. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a finance transformation leader who can bring greater discipline, structure, and visibility to a fast-moving, commission-driven business.
This is not a maintenance role. The company needs a strong finance operator who can restore confidence in the numbers, improve multi-entity and profit-center reporting, strengthen reconciliations and close discipline, and serve as a true cross-functional business partner to the CEO. The underlying mandate in the search materials is a hands-on, transformation-oriented finance leadership role tied to stabilization, reporting credibility, operational improvement, and direct partnership with the CEO.
Responsibilities - Lead the finance and accounting function across a multi-entity, multi-line-of-business operating environment
- Serve as a trusted business partner to the CEO and executive leadership team
- Improve the timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of monthly financial reporting
- Strengthen month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger discipline
- Build and maintain reliable ownership and management reporting, including segment, business-line, and profit-center performance
- Evaluate and refine cost allocation methodologies across shared services, offices, and entities
- Improve profitability visibility across departments, offices, and operating lines
- Oversee treasury and cash management activities, including liquidity visibility, short-term cash planning, intercompany cash movement, and cash concentration structures
- Strengthen banking structure and account rationalization across entities
- Own senior banking relationships and act as the primary point of contact with banking partners
- Improve commission-related accounting, agent billing, clawback handling, and financial controls in a contractor-heavy environment
- Establish stronger forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow planning processes
- Support acquisition analysis, deal modeling, and finance due diligence as needed
- Assess current team structure, clarify ownership, and recommend upgrades or redesign where appropriate
- Improve SOPs, internal controls, approvals, and accountability across key finance workflows
- Work across fragmented systems and source-to-ledger workflows to improve reporting reliability and financial integrity
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA strongly preferred
- 6+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience
- 4+ years of experience in real estate brokerage, a real estate services platform or real estate development and a multi-location service business
- Experience leading finance transformation, cleanup, or remediation in a multi-entity environment
- Deep technical accounting and controllership foundation, including close management, reconciliations, reporting review, and internal controls
- Demonstrated ability to clean up messy books, unreliable reporting, or broken finance processes
- Strong experience building management reporting for CEOs, owners, or boards
- Experience improving segment reporting, allocation methodologies, and profit-center visibility
- Strong treasury and cash management experience
- Experience overseeing banking relationships, cash concentration structures, liquidity management, and intercompany cash flows
- Systems fluency across accounting platforms, workflow systems, and reporting dependencies
- Executive presence and strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability and willingness to operate hands-on, not only strategically
- Understanding of commission-driven or contractor-heavy operating environments
