Senior Credit Analyst
Location: Miami, FL
Compensation: $100,000 to $115,000
Schedule: Full-time, on-site
A well-established financial institution is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to support commercial credit underwriting and risk analysis in a dynamic banking environment. This role is ideal for a bilingual finance professional with strong experience evaluating complex credit transactions, particularly international loan exposure, and preparing clear credit recommendations for internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical ability, sound credit judgment, and experience underwriting commercial and cross-border credit facilities. This person should be comfortable working with financial statements, credit reports, industry research, and borrower analysis while partnering closely with lending and credit leadership. Full professional fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare credit analyses and underwriting packages for new, renewed, modified, and refinanced credit requests
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and related borrower financial data
- Evaluate commercial and international credit exposure for corporate and individual borrowers
- Assess repayment capacity, leverage, cash flow, and overall credit risk
- Prepare credit presentations and written recommendations for leadership and credit committee review
- Conduct industry, market, and country risk analysis as part of the underwriting process
- Review third-party credit reports, public records, and related background information
- Support annual credit reviews and ongoing portfolio monitoring
- Partner with lending and credit teams on loan structuring, renewals, and risk assessment
- Assist with special projects and broader credit administration support as needed
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 5+ years of credit analysis and underwriting experience in a banking or commercial lending environment
- Strong experience underwriting international loans, foreign borrowers, or cross-border credit facilities
- Full professional fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken
- Strong financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment skills
- Experience preparing credit memos or formal underwriting presentations for approval
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with credit analysis systems or financial spreading tools is a plus
- Strong written communication, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
