A luxury interiors organization is seeking an Interior Design Consultant to lead clients through the design and selection of premium custom closet and storage solutions for upscale residential spaces. Responsibilities - Meet with clients in the showroom and on-site to understand their storage needs, design preferences, and lifestyle goals
- Take accurate measurements and assess spaces with a strong understanding of flow, function, and aesthetics
- Develop customized design concepts using approved design software and tools
- Recommend layouts, finishes, materials, and accessories that align with the client’s vision, functional needs, and budget
- Prepare detailed drawings, measurements, and design proposals with precision
- Present design solutions confidently and professionally, guiding clients through selections and final decisions
- Provide pricing, quotes, timelines, and installation expectations with clarity and confidence
- Manage the client experience from initial consultation through design, ordering, production, and installation
- Maintain proactive communication throughout each stage of the project
- Coordinate closely with internal teams and installation partners to support seamless execution
- Resolve client questions or concerns with professionalism, poise, and urgency
- Review completed projects as needed to ensure quality standards and client satisfaction
- Maintain showroom standards and ensure all displays, materials, and presentation areas reflect an elevated brand experience
- Stay informed on design trends, materials, and product offerings
- Consistently contribute to sales performance goals through strong service, follow-through, and trusted client relationships
Qualifications - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered
- Prior experience in interior design, luxury retail, custom home solutions, or a client-facing design role strongly preferred
- Experience with custom closets, cabinetry, millwork, storage systems, or other tailored residential design solutions is highly desirable
- Proficiency in CAD, 3D design software, or comparable design platforms
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to guide clients with confidence and credibility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a polished and professional demeanor
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple active projects at once
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, design-driven environment
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Ability to stand and walk in a showroom setting for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry samples or materials as needed
- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and take accurate site measurements in client spaces
