Junior Design Manager

LOCATION: Fort Lauderdale, FL
TYPE: In-Office
SCHEDULE: Full-Time
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent
PAY RATE: Commensurate with experience

DESCRIPTION:
The Junior Design Manager will support design coordination across all project phases under the direction of the Design Director. This role is ideal for an entry-level to early-career professional with an interior design or architectural background who is eager to gain hands-on experience in drawings, finishes, and on-site coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support design coordination throughout all project phases with guidance from the Design Director
• Track design schedules, deliverables, and approvals
• Assist the Design Director with material and finish selections and follow-up
• Support management of design-related budgets
• Assist with refinishes documentation and on-site drawing coordination
• Review and support preparation of drawings
• Help coordinate interior finish details and documentation
• Maintain organized records of plans, revisions, and design updates

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-4 years of experience in design, development, or construction
• Background in Interior Design or entry-level Architectural Design
• Experience with refinishes and finish selections
• Familiarity with design and construction documentation
• Ability to read and support drawing coordination
• AutoCAD preferred; experience with other CAD tools is a plus
• SketchUp is a plus but not required
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
