Job Title: Facilities Associate
Location: Opa Locka
Work Arrangement: On-site
Schedule: Full-time | Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Occasional overtime and weekends
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Pay Rate: $18-$20 per hour, based on experience
 
About the Role
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Facilities Associate to support daily operations within a high-performing Facilities Maintenance team. This hands-on role is vital to ensuring the smooth transportation of personnel and materials across various sites, maintaining facility standards, and contributing to overall operational efficiency. You'll play a key part in supporting company events, facility inspections, and logistical tasks within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles (vans, trucks, utility carts, golf carts) to transport personnel, equipment, and supplies between buildings and off-site locations.
• Conduct daily inspections of assigned vehicles and report any mechanical issues.
• Maintain cleanliness, fuel levels, and service schedules for company vehicles.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials and ensure secure transport.
• Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel use, deliveries, and personnel transport.
• Run facility-related errands, such as picking up tools, equipment, or supplies from vendors.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings to identify maintenance or safety concerns.
• Support the upkeep of interior spaces (offices, restrooms, shop floors) and exterior areas (walkways, landscaping, parking lots).
• Assist with organizing the facility during scheduled downtime (e.g., end-of-year plant closures).
• Participate in set-up and breakdown activities for company events, including boat shows (may require overnight stay; accommodations provided).
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and similar equipment, if trained.
• Follow all company health, safety, and environmental protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; monthly MVR checks required.
• Previous experience with vehicle operation, facility logistics, or general maintenance is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of tools and mechanical systems preferred.
• Comfortable following instructions and working independently or in teams.
• OSHA certifications preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to safety procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 80 lbs and performing physically demanding tasks.
• Frequent movement in and out of vehicles, walking, bending, lifting, and using tools.
• Willingness to work in environments with exposure to chemicals (with PPE provided).
