CTR are working with a well-established and respected New Zealand construction company that is looking to appoint an Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Tauranga team.

With a strong reputation for delivering quality commercial construction projects, our client offers a supportive working environment, a good variety of projects and the opportunity to become an important part of an experienced construction team.

This position would suit a capable Quantity Surveyor who enjoys being involved in projects from start to finish, building relationships and taking ownership of the commercial aspects of construction delivery.

The Role
Working closely with the wider construction team, your responsibilities will include:

• Commercial management of construction projects from procurement through to final accounts.
• Subcontractor procurement, negotiation and management.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and budget management.
• Managing variations, progress claims and contractual matters.
• Working closely with Project Managers and Site Managers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and clients.

About You
We are looking for someone who brings:

• Proven Quantity Surveying experience within the New Zealand construction industry.
• A background working with a main contractor, ideally across commercial building projects.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, procurement and commercial management.
• Strong communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
• The confidence to manage your own workload while working as part of a wider team.

We are open to considering both Intermediate and Senior Quantity Surveyors, with the level of responsibility tailored to your experience.
