An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established consultancy as they continue to grow their presence in the Wellington region.

We are working with a well-regarded construction consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support its expanding Wellington office.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of quantity surveying but is equally comfortable building relationships, working directly with clients and contributing to the continued growth of a business.

The Opportunity
Working across a range of construction projects, you'll be responsible for providing professional quantity surveying and cost management services while developing strong relationships with both existing and new clients.
With the Wellington office continuing to expand, there is plenty of opportunity to make your mark, take ownership of projects and play an important part in the future growth of the business.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering quantity surveying and cost management services across a variety of construction projects.
• Managing projects from initial feasibility and cost planning through to final accounts.
• Providing commercial advice and support to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Identifying new opportunities and supporting business development activities across the Wellington region.
• Contributing to the ongoing development and growth of the Wellington office.

About You
We're looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working with clients and is confident managing projects independently.
Ideally, you'll bring:

• A minimum of 5 years' New Zealand quantity surveying experience, preferably within a consultancy environment.
• Strong experience in cost planning, estimating, procurement and contract administration.
• A sound understanding of the New Zealand construction market and industry practices.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work directly with clients.
• An interest in business development and building long-term professional relationships.
• A proactive, commercially minded approach and the ability to manage your own workload.
• A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
