CTR is working with a high-profile international organisation looking for an experienced Project Manager – Site & Infrastructure to join its London-based team.

This is certainly not your standard Project Manager role.
Based in London, you’ll be responsible for the planning and delivery of complex temporary infrastructure across a calendar of major international events. One week you could be working with the team in London, the next you could be on-site overseas managing the build and delivery of a major event environment.

For an energetic and ambitious Project Manager from New Zealand who has been thinking about an OE in the UK and Europe, this could be a pretty unique opportunity to combine career progression with international travel and experience.

The Role
You’ll take ownership of the on-site delivery of temporary event infrastructure, coordinating multiple contractors, suppliers and specialist teams to ensure everything comes together safely, efficiently and on programme.
Projects will include the delivery and coordination of:

• Grandstands and hospitality facilities
• Temporary buildings and structures
• Media and broadcast facilities
• Public and staff areas
• Retail and merchandising facilities
• Partner and sponsor activation areas
• Technical and communications infrastructure
• Team operational facilities
• Marine and dock infrastructure
• Site logistics, access and temporary services

You’ll be involved from the early planning stages through build, live event operations, de-rig and site handover.

What You'll Be Doing This is a hands-on Project Management position where you’ll need to be comfortable taking control of a busy site and making decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and programming international event sites
• Managing contractors and suppliers through the build
• Coordinating multiple workstreams and resolving site clashes
• Managing complex logistics, access and construction sequencing
• Protecting critical programme dates and keeping delivery on track
• Monitoring budgets and negotiating contractor variations
• Overseeing temporary infrastructure installation
• Managing the transition from construction into live event operations
• Responding quickly to site and infrastructure issues during events
• Driving strong health & safety standards across the site
• Managing the de-rig, site clearance and final handover
• Reviewing each event and improving the delivery strategy for the next one

Who Are We Looking For? We’re looking for someone who has already built a solid career in construction, infrastructure, temporary works or major event delivery and is ready to do something a little different.

You’ll need to be confident, organised and comfortable operating in fast-moving environments where deadlines don't move.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Strong Project Management or Site Management experience
• Experience delivering complex construction or infrastructure projects
• Excellent contractor and subcontractor management skills
• Strong programming, sequencing and logistics experience
• The confidence to lead busy, multi-contractor sites
• Good commercial awareness and experience managing variations
• Strong health & safety knowledge, including RAMS and site compliance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to think quickly and make good decisions under pressure
• SMSTS or an equivalent site management qualification

Experience within major events, temporary structures, infrastructure, marine, stadium, hospitality or technically complex projects would be particularly interesting.
