An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Building Services Manager to join a well-established construction and project management business delivering a high-quality hotel fit-out project in Fiji.

This is a hands-on project-based position, ideally suited to an experienced Building Services Manager who is comfortable coordinating complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and associated building services within a fast-paced fit-out environment.

Working closely with the Project Manager, site team, consultants, subcontractors and client, you will take responsibility for ensuring the services package is effectively coordinated, installed, commissioned and delivered to the required programme and quality standards.

The Role
Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating MEP/building services throughout the hotel fit-out.
• Working closely with services consultants, subcontractors and the wider construction team.
• Reviewing services drawings, specifications and design documentation.
• Identifying and resolving design clashes and buildability issues.
• Coordinating services installation with architectural finishes and other trades.
• Managing services subcontractors and monitoring performance against programme.
• Driving commissioning, testing, defect resolution and final handover.
• Monitoring quality and ensuring installations comply with project specifications.
• Managing RFIs and technical queries.
• Ensuring services works are delivered safely and in accordance with site requirements.
• Providing regular progress updates to the Project Manager and senior project team.

About You
We are looking for someone with strong practical building services experience who can confidently take ownership of the services package.
Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Building Services Manager, MEP Manager, Services Engineer or Services Project Manager.
• Strong mechanical and electrical building services knowledge.
• Experience delivering hotel, resort, commercial fit-out or high-end interiors projects.
• Strong services coordination and subcontractor management experience.
• Experience taking services through installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
• The ability to read and interpret services drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to resolving site issues.
• The ability to work effectively within a fast-moving project environment.
• Previous international or Pacific project experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-quality hotel project while being based in Fiji for approximately 6-10 months.

The role would suit an experienced construction professional who enjoys being close to project delivery, working collaboratively with site teams and taking ownership of building services from fit-out through to successful commissioning and handover.
