Are you an experienced Joinery Estimator looking to join a well-established business with a strong reputation and a secured pipeline of work?
An Auckland-based commercial construction and interiors specialist continues to grow, with projects secured well into early 2027 and additional opportunities continuing to come on board. Due to this sustained growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Joinery Estimator to become a key part of the commercial team.
Working on a diverse range of high-quality commercial fit-out, hospitality, retail, education and bespoke interior projects, you'll play an integral role in producing accurate estimates and helping secure future work.
The Role
As the Joinery Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate pricing for bespoke joinery packages while working closely with project managers, designers, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working on technically interesting projects and wants to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate joinery estimates and tender submissions
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation
- Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Material take-offs and cost planning
- Value engineering and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Liaising with clients, architects, designers and internal project teams
- Assisting with project handovers following successful tenders
About you We're interested in hearing from candidates who have:
- Previous estimating experience within commercial joinery or bespoke interiors
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and joinery construction methods
- Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
- The ability to interpret architectural and shop drawings
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Excel
