Our client is a highly respected property and construction consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering professional building surveying and advisory services across New Zealand. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their Auckland team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of commercial, industrial, education, healthcare and residential projects, providing expert technical advice to a broad client base while taking a leading role within the business.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will be involved in a diverse range of professional services including:
- Technical building inspections and condition assessments
- Dilapidation and defects reporting
- Due diligence and pre-purchase inspections
- Insurance and reinstatement assessments
- Maintenance planning and asset management advice
- Contract administration and project monitoring
- Mentoring junior surveyors and contributing to business development

About You We are keen to speak with experienced Building Surveyors who can demonstrate:
- Solid Building Surveying experience within a consultancy environment
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial and residential buildings
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- The ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality advice
- A proactive and professional approach to problem solving
- Relevant tertiary qualifications within Building Surveying or a related discipline
Applications are welcomed from experienced Building Surveyors currently working in New Zealand, as well as UK-qualified Building Surveyors looking to relocate or already based in New Zealand. Candidates with experience working under RICS standards will be highly regarded.
