A well-established construction consultancy is seeking a solid Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Auckland-based team. With a strong and secure pipeline of commercial work confirmed through 2026, this role offers long-term stability alongside exposure to a broad range of quality commercial projects.
 
The position provides excellent variety, working across multiple projects rather than being tied to a single development. You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, delivering commercial and contractual advice in a professional, client-focused consultancy environment.
 
The Role

• Preparing detailed cost plans, estimates, and feasibility studies
• Managing tender documentation, procurement processes, and tender evaluations
• Contract administration including progress claims, variations, and cost reporting
• Ongoing forecasting, cashflow management, and financial control
• Negotiating variations and final accounts
• Providing clear, commercially focused advice to clients and project teams
• Working closely with project managers, designers, and contractors to achieve successful outcomes

About You

• 4+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within commercial construction
• Experience across a variety of commercial builds (office, retail, education, mixed-use or similar)
• Strong understanding of NZ construction contracts and procurement methods
• Confident operating in a consultancy or client-facing role
• High attention to detail with a structured and organised approach
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline 

Salary & Benefits

• Intermediate QS: typically $100,000 - $130,000
• Senior QS: typically $130,000 - $150,000+, depending on experience
