Construction and Technical Recruitment (CTR) is working with a well-established construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its civil infrastructure team in either Christchurch or Auckland. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of infrastructure projects, supporting public and private sector clients through all stages of the project lifecycle.
 
The position is suited to an Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a solid civil background who is looking to further develop their career in a collaborative consultancy environment. You will be involved in both the commercial and strategic aspects of project delivery, providing trusted cost and contract advice to clients.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of cost plans, estimates, and feasibility studies for civil infrastructure projects
• Procurement advice, tender documentation, and tender evaluations
• Contract administration, including progress claims, variations, and change management
• Ongoing cost reporting, forecasting, and financial control
• Assessment and negotiation of variations and claims
• Final account preparation and agreement
• Providing clear, commercial advice to clients and project stakeholders
• Working closely with engineers, project managers, and design teams to support successful project outcomes

About You

• Minimum 4 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil or infrastructure projects
• Strong experience across areas such as roading, water infrastructure, drainage, or earthworks
• Sound knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management principles
• Comfortable working in a consultancy or professional services environment
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline

International Experience

• New Zealand project experience is preferred
• Candidates with UK- project based experienced are encouraged to apply, particularly those with exposure to civil projects
