Construction and Technical Recruitment (CTR) is working with an established construction business with a strong presence in the commercial and interiors sector is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Auckland team. This is a senior-level role offering autonomy, project variety, and a clear pathway into a Commercial Manager position for the right candidate.
  
The Role
Reporting to the Division Manager – Commercial & Interiors, you will take full responsibility for the commercial and financial management of projects ranging in value from $500k to $30m. You will work closely with Project Managers and senior leadership, contributing to both project delivery and broader commercial outcomes across the division.
  
Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end commercial and financial administration of construction projects
• Operating independently with minimal oversight across multiple projects
• Working alongside Project Managers on EOTs, contractual notifications and risk management
• Supporting the Division Manager with selected Commercial Manager–level duties
• Involvement in estimating and pricing as required
• Administration and interpretation of standard NZ construction contracts

About You

• Minimum 15 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• At least 5 years’ experience working in New Zealand
• Strong working knowledge of NZS 3910, 3915 and 3916
• Proven ability to manage projects autonomously at senior level
• Commercially astute with strong contractual and financial management skills
• Motivated to progress into a Commercial Manager role over time
