Construction and Technical Recruitment (CTR) are working with our partners in Australia. We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team working on commercial construction projects. Your expertise will be essential in delivering a range of projects, including schools, hospitals, and retirement villages. If you are a detail-oriented, proactive individual with a passion for construction, we want to hear from you!
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for commercial projects
• Undertake cost planning and value engineering
• Conduct risk analysis and provide cost control advice
• Review contracts and negotiate terms with suppliers and contractors
• Manage project procurement and monitor progress on-site
• Prepare tender documentation and assist with the tendering process
• Provide expert advice to the project team on cost-related issues
• Perform cost reporting and financial forecasting

Requirements:

• A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in commercial construction projects
• Strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and contract management
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g. CostX, Buildsoft, MS Excel)
• A strong track record in working on schools, hospitals, or retirement villages is highly desirable, not essential
• Eligible to work in Australia (Australian Citizens, Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Passport Holders)
