We are currently seeking an experienced Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-regarded contractor based in the Waikato region. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing team during an exciting time, with workload steadily increasing and projects slowly coming online.
  
About the Role
  
You’ll be joining a tight-knit, supportive team, working closely with experienced professionals while enjoying a high level of autonomy. This role is well-suited to someone who’s confident in pricing, managing, and running their own projects from start to finish.
  
Projects are diverse and range across light commercial, residential, and small-scale industrial sectors – no two days will look the same, and your experience will grow quickly in this hands-on role.
  
You’ll be involved across all project phases, from tendering and procurement through to contract administration and final accounts.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions
• Procure subcontractors and manage contract negotiations
• Administer contracts and variations
• Monitor project costs and ensure financial targets are met
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and site teams
• Deliver multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision

What We’re Looking For
  
To be successful, you’ll bring:

• A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
• 3–8+ years’ QS experience (Intermediate or Senior level)
• Solid understanding of NZS3910 and other standard construction contracts
• Proven experience managing project finances independently
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
