Construction and Technical Recruitment (CTR) is working with a leading Wellington Contractor who specialise in modern, sustainable, high-quality projects. They partner with leading architects, sub-contractors, consultants and local councils to build amazing structures across Wellington and lower North Island. They are currently working on a number of exciting developments in the region and require a Site Manager/Senior Site Manager to join the team and push the projects along.

The Role

As an established and confident Site Manager, you will report directly to the Senior Project Manager on site. The role will involve supervising a team on site and ensuring the day to day activity and construction quality meets the high standards the company adheres too. The role presents a great opportunity for a Site Manager with experience to progress their career and work on large scale projects. The role is working on a high spec facility that requires care and great attention to detail. 

Duties 

• Working alongside sub-contractors, consultants 
• Ensuring the project runs successfully and efficiently 
• People management, maintaining site standards to a high level
• Scheduling and progress reporting 
• Materials arrangement
• Ensuring work is conducted under correct health and safety guidelines
• Maintaining proper and complete site inspection records
• Checking Constructor's claims
• Site meetings

Skills and Experience 

• 5+ years' NZ construction experience 
• Related qualifications
• Initiative and excellent problem solving skills
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written
• High level of attention to detail 
• People management skills 
• Experience with Steel and Concrete Construction
